Top Esports vs Fnatic Predictions
Top Esports and Fnatic are set to lock horns on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in the third round of the League of Legends World Championship 2024 Swiss Stage. It'll mark their second clash of the season, and according to the esports betting odds, the Chinese squad should win.

Top Esports are priced as 1.22 favourites to defeat Fnatic, who enter the match as 4.20 underdogs with the best crypto betting sites. As a team that hails from a stronger region, Top Esports deserve some respect, albeit at this number, it is fair to look the other way.
- Top Esports defeated Fnatic at the MSI 2024
- Neither team has looked good this tournament
- A very important fixture for both teams
Head to Head
Top Esports last met with Fnatic during the Mid-Season Invitational 2024, when they won.
- Top Esports 2-1 Fnatic – May 3, 2024
Top Esports Form
Top Esports are 1-1 so far at LoL World Championship 2024, which is not the best spot to be in, but it is fair to say that they've had the most challenging road so far as they had to play T1 and Gen.G.
The Chinese LoL esports team defeated T1 but lost to Gen.G, which is not a bad outcome as they've kept their matches close. However, that does not take away from the fact that TES have looked a bit shaky at times and have hardly shown any improvement from LPL 2024 Summer.
This mainly concerns jungler Gao "Tian" Tianliang and mid laner Lin "Creme" Jian who can be a bit hit or miss sometimes. This might not be a huge issue here, but if both fail to show up, then Top Esports should not be priced as such massive favourites with Stake.
Top Esports Squad & Team News
No changes for Top Esports.
- Bai "369" Jiahao – top lane
- Gao "Tian" Tianliang – jungle
- Lin "Creme" Jian – mid lane
- Wenbo "JackeyLove" Yu – ADC
- Tian "Meiko" Ye – support
Fnatic Form
Fnatic have had an easier road so far at LoL Worlds 2024. They lost their opening series against Dplus KIA and then defeated GAM Esports – a nice mix of a very tough and a very easy opponent.
In both series, Fnatic trailed a bit early, which is not a good look, especially ahead of their clash with a team that relies heavily on getting ahead. Conversely, Fnatic did opt for scaling compositions, so it is not surprising they trailed early even against a weaker LoL esports team.
There is no denying that Top Esports have a higher ceiling than Fnatic, but you really have to ask yourself what is a fair price and whether having Fnatic at 4.20 is a bit too much.
Fnatic Squad & Team News
No changes for Fnatic.
- Óscar "Oscarinin" Muñoz Jiménez – top lane
- Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz – jungle
- Marek "Humanoid" Brázda – mid lane
- Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek – ADC
- Yoon "Jun" Se-jun – support
Verdict
As noted, this price gap is a bit too much. Even though Top Esports can, on a good day, play at a very high level, they've been anything but consistent over the last few months, and TES have not shown much more stability across the last two series.
Fnatic can be a bit hit-or-miss sometimes, and it doesn't help that this is a best-of-one series. Yet all this variance favours the underdogs more and makes Fnatic a far more appealing bet at this number.
Admittedly, Fnatic are not good at closing out games, which will be a problem against a team like Top Esports. However, we know Fnatic are generally good at getting ahead early – even though we've not seen this side of them yet – and if they can do that, I like their chances to do some damage.
